Unity is a metaphysical movement, but what does that mean to you?

In a nutshell – metaphysical interpretation is seeing the absolute truth beyond the

relative or physical reality - it is the moral of the story.

Within all of creation there is the first cause or absolute principle. The physical

manifestation can only attempt to represent that principle. When you “see” beyond

the physical and understand the first or absolute, much of the confusion of the

physical life melts away.

Charles Fillmore (co-founder of Unity) said that metaphysics is “The systematic

study of the science of Being; that which transcends the physical. By pure

metaphysics is meant a clear understanding of the realm of ideas and their

legitimate expression.”

EXAMPLE: The number seven is throughout the Bible - The authors were students

of numerology, as a result the message they convey with the number seven was

understood instantly. Today, we are not all students of numerology and therefore

take the number seven as indicating seven units.

However, the number seven is universally thought of as a mystical number based on

the fundamental arrangement of the natural world.

Metaphysically - the number represents fullness in the physcial world - seven always

refers to the divine law of perfections for the divine-natural man.

In Matthew 18:22 Jesus was asked how many times a person should forgive. Jesus

answered seventy times seventy. That did not mean 4900 times. It meant unlimited

times until you have fully forgiven.

In this workshop I will present a step by step process, whereby you can

“transcend the physical” and begin to see and understand the laws of Spirit that

stands under the physical world.
